Yay. I feel pretty confident about chem even though most of my answers were like weird.. like 53.3% percentage purity? and 1.08 x 10^22 molecules of the aspirin thing. haha. i think the 'open book' part was quite useless cos i could do it all without open book :D haha mrs kua was annoyed with me for using a purple pen, but i have no other pen besides my red pen and my orange pen! :) i bought 2 purple refills by accident :D:D i thought it looked black, but nooo it was the official gay/norman color! haha.
anyway. tmr is bio practical so here's a random spammage.
food tests compressed into chemglish (heyhey! new language chem politically correct answers+english=chemglish) equations
test for carbo
2cm3 sample+2cm3 benedicts sol -> shake+heat on water bath
+ive = blue>green>yellow>red>brick red ppt
-ive = blue
test for starch
sample + iodine
+ive = blueblack
-ive = yellow
test for lipids/fats/oils
sample+2cm3 ethanol+shake = ethanol dissolved (sol bcomes transparent)
+ive = white emulsion + heat evolved
-ive = no white emulsion + heat evolved
test for protein
2cm3 sample + 1cm3 NaOH; shake+ stand for 1 min
2-3 drops of CuSO4 solution
+ive = violet colouration
-ive = blue colouration (col of cuso4)
test for starch in plant
1. leaf in hot h20 for 2min
2. leaf out of h20 into hot methy spirit + boil in water bath for 10min
3. leaf out of methy spirit water bath into hot water
4. add iodine

i won a merit award in some lame chinese compo competition that the whole school is annually forced to take part in. haha i wrote some crap about my 梦园 is a super happy place with everything nice but no sugar and spice ;D and something about the 梦园 is a product of listening to my mp3 :D haha lol i cant believe how many stupid mistakes i made, but i forgot to bring a dictionary and haha yay
ohya not to mention i dont take higher chinese so the standard is like hehe.
