yay. so happy.. team samuel, thats us =))) sam, geoffrey, michael, me, leon and weeping
SO TOTALLY OWNED THE SOFTBALL MODULE!!
really.
today, we pwned barry's team 11-2, and our win-loss record is a flattering (ahem, ahem, im trying very hard to stay modest here, ) 100% wins!!!!!!!!!
haha today was a great game.. notably cos our batting order was suddenly very inspired by the fact that it was the LAST game and against BARRY'S team, in a rematch of the game we played the last time.
Also, this time, Barry's team had no excuse, the last time they faced defeat at our hand, Barry so conveniently quipped "we lost because our best player wasnt playing."
after counting.. daniel... derwin.. brent... jinghui... we found out that apparently BARRY was referring to himself.. dots..
so anw.. lets try and describe the game as OBJECTIVELY..
1st batter weeping got free walk, michael whacked and both of them got home so 2-0, then geoffrey got struck out, then i got a solo home run on an easy daniel throw=)) and, by the way, that was cool, the ball went really, really high into the sky =) which gave me lots of time to run =)) leon got a base hit, but samuel struck out, so 3-0.
then enter the black raging bull.
ok, not yet.
anyway, we got their easy batters out with gd pitching by michael. ok, fine, very gd pitching, (heh notice how catchers nvr get the credit, but then its all the catchers fault if the team screws up in real softball games?? hint hint hint =)) )
hahaha. then after a few easy plays it was OUR TURN AGAIN.
THIS TIME, 3-2 was NOT going to be ACCEPTABLE.
time for OWNAGE.
haha by the way, im trying to contain my excitement and overflowing adranaline over this match.. hahahahaha. then after that we whacked, and whacked, and whacked. and after a triple by michael, weeping getting struck out i think, and geoffrey and leon getting hits too, finally came the hightlight of the game for me..
after michael got to third with a very very high ball to match the earlier one by me, my turn, so the first pitch by daniel, i whacked the ball somewhat parallel... not sure, but it was so cool (and taiko, i admit, for that one). The bat made this sharp, loud noise, and the ball flew STRAIGHT AT BARRY AND JINGHUI, who were somewhere behind 2nd base.. BARRY DUCKED AND JINGHUI MISSED, AND THE BALL FLEW ALMOST TO THE TRACK.
yay.
i feel like tsui, rattling on and on about how pro we are, but in our case, we are, so we do have something to boast about.. i mean.. our team, of some lousy players, so experienced players and some ok players managed to beat every team VERY VERY convincingly. how pro is that.
